Catch highlights from the Kenyan National MX Championship

Some great riding and an impressive rider-progression setup

East Africa isn't known as an MX hotspot, but the guys at Transworld Motocross recently pointed out a highlights reel from Kenya's National Championship.
Although the dust probably makes staying in front a little easier once you get there, the track looks good, riding's awesome, and we like the structure of it. With an abundance of engine displacement classes there's space for riders of varying ages and abilities and a clear path for progression. One to keep an eye on!

Inside the Outdoors

The series that reveals the real lives of MX riders continues this week with a portrait on Coleen and Davi Millsaps, one of the most successful mother/son teams in amateur history. It’s a surprisingly emotional episode, as we learn about the struggles that parents must endure when helping their child through amateur seasons that cost upwards of $100,000. We think it’s a must watch for any MX fan, if only to counter-balance the glitzy world of parties, models and photo shoots that are regularly touted on the pro circuit.

DC SHOES: MOTO - DEFINED BY DC

DC promised to drop this video on the 15th January so we've been waiting with bated breath to see what would be in store when the like of Pastrana, McGrath, Maddison, Canard, Stewart,Cianciarulo and other DC athletes got together to have some fun for a big promo movie.

In the office, the final result has divided opinion. Some have declared it "One of the most epic moto movies they have seen for a long time", with "Great riders, great locations, massive hucks, Pastrana and fireworks!" Others feel like such a build up has left them slightly underwhelmed. What's with the random clay pigeon shooting? Could the only afford about four rockets for the fireworks scene? Why so little bike sounds?

Take a look at the video and make your own decision. What do you guys reckon?

James Stewart Announces His New Official Motocross Gear - Seven MX!

Rumours have been circulating for a while but James Stewart has finally announced his official line of MX gear, created by Troy Lee Designs. As the man himself points out, this isn't a lazy collaboration with his name attached - this is a custom range that he claims will be "sports driven and performance balanced... Seven brand will be completely different. If you're a serious motocross racer or just a guy that wants to have fun, Seven brand is going to give you a benefit over everything else."

Bold claims, Bubba but we've got to admit that the kit looks sick! Fingers crossed that we'll get some for the FreestyleXtreme store very soon. Keep an eye out and we'll let you know as soon as we get our hands on it! In the mean time, you can follow Seven MX on its Facebook page

New delivery of KTMs stolen, 36 new junior motocross bikes stolen from lorry

A delivery of 36 new KTM junior motocross motorcycles has been stolen from a lorry in Kent on the evening of Friday December 9.
Thieves took 35 KTM 50 SXs and one 65 SX. The bikes were still in their individual transportation boxes, still requiring a small amount of assembly from the dealerships they were intended for.
The 50 and 65 SX Sport Minicycles are incredibly popular motorcross machines for junior riders.
The theft has many implications and not only makes availability of the 50 SX extremely difficult but will very much spoil Christmas for many families as the majority of the bikes stolen were pre-ordered via KTM dealers ready to arrive as gifts.
Even though these are off-road bikes, each machine has a unique VIN (vehicle identification number) and engine number that can be used to trace its identity. Police and KTM dealers have these details and, together with KTM UK, will be working with motocross clubs and tracks across the country to make sure these stolen machines are returned.
Shaun Sisterson, Managing Director of KTM UK, said: “This theft has a massive affect on availability of the bikes and will result in a lot of disappointed children this Christmas as we are aware that many of the bikes stolen were earmarked as gifts.
“We’re doing all we can to get additional replacement units in time for Christmas, however these models are in short supply. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this has caused but the theft has been a matter out of KTM’s control.”
Anybody with potential information regarding these bikes can contact KTM UK on 01280 709500.
