Big Air Jam


Presenting the UK`s hottest FMX athletes in an action packed airborne battle to decide who can pull the best trick, the biggest air, the sickest whip or even the nastiest crash! Some of the finest freestyle motocross riders in Europe will be showing off their gravity defying skills featuring the UK’s best freestyle riders including, Jamie Squibb, John Person, Danny Veale, Daniel Whitby, Samson Eaton, Ryan Pasch plus many more fantastic freestyle athletes. At half time the return of “Big Stunt Wars" competition featuring some of the best stunt action to be had on mini bikes, trails bikes, and super bikes.
The event is being held at Margam Park, near Port Talbot, South Wales, on Wednesday 15th July. Gates open from 6pm with the action starting at 7pm. Admission is just £10 for adults, £5 for teenagers and FREE for under 12`s when accompanied by an adult* with free parking thrown in for a real bargain nights entertainment.

Motocross Club AGM

On 20th January Foreshore MXC met for the first time in 2009 and discussed future aims and objectives of the club who operate at the Cardiff motocross centre. The club and CMX centre that are linked with Cardiff city council have so far been able to reduce the problems of anti social behaviour link to off road bikes in the city by up to 64% with the various volunteer training programmes and activities that take place at the Cardiff motocross site.
With the recent appointment of the volunteer coordinator for the project Mark Thomas who is funded by the country side council of Wales .The coordinators role is to help and support the club structure and are now looking to expand their activities in the areas of motocross training and competition. At the meeting there was express support from some of Wales premier motocross athletes to support the club and the ventures from the likes of Mark Jones, Jamie Lewis, Ashley greedy, Andrew Gillet, Glen Phillips, Brett Hillman and Carl Jones to just name a few.
One of the clubs aim is to now formulate an all new motocross training Academy affiliated to the ACU with the aim of supporting national and club level competitors who then in turn can help develop grass root level / local volunteers and young people, to even help further Cardiff city council and their aims and objectives linked to the Cardiff motocross centre.
Ideas discussed at the meeting to try and engage with volunteers and local enthusiasts is to develop an all new mid week race series designed around existing and new race formats, such as head to head races and team events and look at and develop other new racing formats of motocross competitions to make the whole package attractive to volunteers and various local welsh media companies.
Mark Thomas will be looking into funding streams to help the volunteer club structure. The club will be holding their first Annual General Meeting and, all are welcome on

Febuary 4th Foreshore MXC AGM

Foreshore MXC the all new motocross club of south wales will be holding their first Annual General Meeting and, all are welcome on Wednesday 4th February 7pm
Llynfi Arms, Maesteg Road, Tondu, Bridgend.The club will be looking to develop the club structure in two main areas training and competition affiliated to the ACU.The club will work to an agreed legally binding constitution. The club will also encourage and support any rider who shows exceptional ability into main stream motor sport.

The enforcement agencies may choose to refer a rider they catch riding illegally for an agreed training programme to the club. A nominate coach will provide a specific training package geared to the individual. At the end of the training period the person has the choice to either remain and support the club, or not, as he so wishes.
The choice is simple. Do not ride illegally and do not compromise the safety of others or the mental and physical well being of the community you reside in. Choose to ride competently and responsibly. Ride at the Track and improve your ability and confidence.

This track would not have happened without the enforcement agencies identifying the need, without the political support from all parties and the commitment of officers within the Council and the staff developing the project. New Motocross Club Moves Forward

One of the clubs aim is to now formulate an all new motocross training Academy affiliated to the ACU with the aim of supporting national and club level competitors who then in turn can help develop grass root level / local volunteers and young people,to even help further Cardiff city council and their aims and objectives linked to the Cardiff motocross centre.

Peter Owens from Cardiff city council also announced the securing of £8000 of funding from the Welsh sports council to help develop and support the Club Forshore MXC ,and Mark Thomas will also be looking in to other funding streams to help the volunteer club structure. The club will be holding regular monthly evening meetings on the second Tuesday of every month. In the mean time the club will be holding their first Annual General Meeting and, all are welcome on Wednesday 4th February 7pm
